Clockworks and Rabbits

As of today I am at 159.3km to and from work.
I've passed the mark of 150 that I was aiming for for the month.

Sunday was a good day.
Went to the Laberynth with MonFur, was fun, but I found it a little easy. my little group finished in about 30 minutes or so.

Afterwards was tasty pasts, then the rest of the group saw a movie while I headed off to hang out at Kildoo and Lupine's place. A few more shirts and a Jests Christ Superstar (2000 version) later I left for home.

On the way, I found an old radio sitting at the end of someone's driveway destined for the trash. So I grabbed it, thinking at worst it would probably work for parts for steampunking.

It is a Rogers Majestic Radio Corp radio, model R555. There is absolutely NO information on this particular model to be found with google. It seems to be a shortwave/AM radio that uses tubes, and the pattent date is 1940. There is a little damage to it, and needs a good cleaning, but I'm hoping to attach antenna wires to the thing to see what else it can pick up except for AM.

So at 70.8km. nearly halfway there. so long as it isn't thunderstorming tonight when I leave work I'll be over halfway to my goal.
The wind is a little up. was afraid it was going to rain on me on the way in, but it held off.

Phone is now running WinMo 6.5, customizing it as I go. so far performance is good. Better than on the stock Bell rom I was using before.

need grogeries. I don't mind scrabbling food, but having more choice is good. Though, my onion-oil-random spices pasta sauce turned out rather well. Needed more garlic, though.

Need new shoes. See last post.

Need more coffee. The machine stuff at work is barely drinkable, but it'll do for now.

Need more braincells. mmmm... brains....

lastly, been thinking of touching up the Feli suit again. So i'll need to go to a fabric store. Need to make new paws, tail.

Last night I think I may have pulled something in my right calf, hurt like a bejezus whenever i wasn't sitting, so I took the bus home. And today... rain. Farking rain. *sigh*

Well, as this month started tight in terms of money, I decided to take the opportunity to get a bit of a workout.
I passed on getting a bus pass and walked to work this morning. The walk is about 5km from home to work. I do it on and off after work but rarely did it to get into work (generally due to laziness).

Was a good walk today. weather was beautiful for it. :)
