So, another year has passed. Life has been lived, work has been worked on, and rest has been restful.

-Snow is cold and wet, but fun.
-Christmas gifts get less colourful as you get older, but never seem to get less fun
-Friendships will come and go
-Lovers will come and go. Some will end well, some won't. but each one in some way enhances your life.
-Coffee helps.
-Fire is hot
-technology can always be tamed with the threat of upgrading.
-Your job will change, but you'll always find something to complain about.
-Painting the inside of a walk-in freezer is a dumb, cold job. But someone has to do it.
-Technology will inevitably fail, die, burn, melt, pop, or delete all of your critical files at the most in-opportune of moments.
-As a child, you make believe you're someone else. Grown-ups tell you to grow up.
-As an adult, you make believe you're someone else. Other grown-ups do too.
-Pain isn't always bad.
-Love is something to be shared. Sometimes it can be with one person, sometimes with a few. But never keep love to yourself, or it will not be as good.
-Gasolene will catch fire.
-So will eyebrows.
-As you grow older, you find yourself looking more and more like your parents.
-Bedroom floors are still the best spot for clothing. Or at least, the most convenient.
-A toaster oven is not a valid replacement for a real oven.
-Meat is good.
-Laughter may not always be the best mediscine, but it is damned good stuff.
-Port is good.
-Coffee is still better.
-In retrospect, everyone is a dork in Highschool
-Injuries will happen.
-Stupid injuries will embarass you for years.
-There are never enough hours in a day.
-Even if you leave your cat for 4 days, and she is pissed off at you, she'll love you again when you fill the food dish back up.

-Trix are not just for kids.
-Coke is better than Pepsi, but I still prefer RC Cola
-Wearing a tie to work makes other people scared of why you're wearing a tie, and what do you know that they don't.
-If you smile, people will smile too.
-Three words in a specific order will make anyone smile, even if they don't want to.
-The three words are not "I Love You", but those tend to work too.
-Saturday Morning Cartoons just aren't the same as they used to be.
-If you are confident in your answers, people will believe you, so you have to be careful.
-Being sick sucks.
-You have 2 families: the one you're born to and the one you pick. Love them both equally.
-Sushi is tasty.
-Spaghetti sauce should not follow a written recipe
-Measure twice, cut once
-then remeasure and realise that you made the wrong measurement.
-Lather, rince, no need to repeat.
-Books are good.

One more trip around the sun starts tomorrow.
