Cooking with the bunny: Burgers
Apr. 8th, 2008 10:52 amMan, I think I need to comission some icons or something... I think I'll need one for cooking posts. So if anyone wants to take a hack at making some little images of me please! let me know!
Alright, so lastnight was cooking! This humble bunny whipped up some culinary delights (well, made burgers, but still) and they came out tasty!

Well, I used
-A large qualntity of lean ground beef (the package was $20, I used half. Already tossed so I don't know the weight)
-Garlic Salt
-Celery Salt
-Heinz Chilli Sauce
-Pepper
-Woscester Sauce
-Eggs (2)
-Italian Bread Crumbs
-1 Red onion, large
-Half of a red and half of a yellow pepper
-5 cloves of garlic
First I threw the veggies into the food processor, blended them up well (the leftover is going to make one hell of a salsa, I tell you)
Then in a large bowl, mixed the meat, breadcrumbs, eggs, and pretty much all of the other ingredients. Added some of the veggie puree.
Always mush by hand! yes it feels funky on the hands, but it's the best way!
Then it was time to form the meat. (sounds like a line from Give Me The Brain)
thin patties. Not too thick as here came the fun bit.
We stuffed the patties. Cheezes and green onions. The cheezes were Brie, Pepper Gouda and Griffon.
Man were they big. but goooooood! On kaiser buns, fresh, not standard burger buns. I was afraid I wouldn't have been able to cook them properly but they turned out alright.
khydeeauntacouldn't finish hers, but
dolphin_lover finished both of hers.

Pictures for proof of foodages.
More to come! I have to post about my makeshift rib sauce from a couple of weeks ago next!
